Mattias Azzolari

Mattias graduated in Animal Husbandry and Welfare at the University of Milan in 2015 and obtained his master’s degree in Animal Husbandry Sciences and Technologies in 2017.

He has always been passionate about farm animals and animal husbandry. He worked in a closed-cycle pig farm for 2 years, mainly dealing with reproduction and farrow assistance.

Since November 2020, he has been working as a technician at the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences, collaborating mainly with the Applied Ethology and Animal Welfare Research Group. In recent years he has taken part in several projects which aimed at improving the welfare of farmed species (mainly cattle and pigs) by collecting video material and data directly in the field.
