Dr. Greta Veronica Berteselli will partecipat in the 73rd EAAP (European Federation of Animal Science) Annual Congress with a poster entitled “Decrease in rumination as early warning indicator of clinical mastitis onset in high-producing dairy”. The Congress will be held in Porto (Portugal) from 5 to 9 September 2022.
This study highlights how behavioral changes, detectable through the use of PLF, and specifically sensors, are potentially useful in early detection of mastitis cases. T Combining PLF and health data may be an innovative approach to manage and prevent mastitis, that remains a main health and welfare issue in dairy cows.
