Elie obtained his Veterinary degree in Production Animal Medicine from the Lebanese University in 2019 with an experimental thesis on the improvement of poultry welfare at slaughter.
Received his PhD in Animal Production from the University of Sassari in 2023, where he focused on sustainable poultry nutrition and also worked on the composition and analysis of the microbiota of the animal digestive tract of different farm animal species which has a crucial impact on animal performance and health.
He is currently occupying the position of a research fellow in the University of Milan and involved in a project granted from the Italian Ministry of Health for young researchers focusing on the research of novel indicators to improve farm animal welfare with an aim of a fair and sustainable production in marginal areas.
